We are truly blessed to be stewards of a family-owned resort located in an amazing and beautiful environment. We pinch ourselves and are in awe by the friends we’ve made, the scenic beauty, sugar sand swimming beach, fantastic fishing on the Cass Lake Chain of Lakes and not to mention a year around sportsmen’s paradise.
This is a thumbnail sketch about the owners of Shangri-La Resort (that’s us!) We are the Hilmer’s… Lori Lynn (aka mom), Andrew (24) lives nearby and has two children, Collin (18) attending Itasca College for Business Administration, Keegan (16) Junior at BHS in track and award winning Vocalmotive show choir, and Kyra (13) active in volleyball, band and track and myself, Joshua (22) lives on-site and pursuing a RN degree at BSU. We are all super excited and are looking forward to making your next vacation the very finest.

Shangri-La Resort: A Timeless Lakeside Retreat
When we moved here on August 17th in 1998, to Shangri-La Resort there was no TV, A/C or microwaves and I thought I was gonna die. Well we all survived and now have all the amenities from satellite TV to wireless internet. The cabins are still charmingly nostalgic located at the water’s edge. It has been the perfect size resort and a great place to grow up. There is always something to do and relaxing enough to just kick back. Shangri-La Resort definitely stands above the norm. The clincher being you, the vacationing guests. The families that frequent Shangri-La are friendly, easy-going and willing to share their fishing secrets. Thank you!
